History
EMIVASA is a mixed group created by the Town Hall of València and Global Omnium, to manage the public service of water supply and provision of drinking water in the city of València. Global Omnium provides 80 percent of water to the capital and the Town Hall provides the remaining 20 percent.
Alongside Global Omnium, EMIVASA has accumulated experience over more than a century in the management of drinking water in order to provide a primordial necessity in the best possible conditions. In this field the Town Hall is working hard to ensure that all citizens of València have access to this basic and fundamental service.
EMIVASA is part of the Global Omnium, a business organization with more than 125 years of history dedicated to the provision of public services, whose activity is centred on the management of the Integral Water Circuit, as it manages all aspects related to catchment, treatment and distribution of drinking water. Equally it develops complementary business lines to optimize hydraulic resources – provision and purification, drainage, cleansing of residual water, denitrification and irrigation management.
EMIVASA’s objective is to offer the best service while still respecting the maximum criteria of quality and environmental protection and to contribute to the social development of the surrounding areas in the best possible conditions.
